Dear SSM product user,
the Metop-A satellite, launched on 19 October 2006, has massively exceeded its design lifetime of five years. However, it is now time for it to retire and this action is planned for November 2021. As a result Metop-A ASCAT SSM products (H101, H102) will be discontinued. The planned end date for the Metop-A ASCAT SSM products is 15th November 2021.
We will continue to provide ASCAT SSM from Metop-B and Metop-C. More detailed information can be found on https://www.eumetsat.int/plans-metop-end-life.
