The Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) is pleased to announce the 4th Satellite Soil Moisture Validation and Application Workshop (19-20 September 2017) and the CCI Soil Moisture User Workshop (18 September 2017), to take place at its premises in Austria. The abstract submission deadline is 1 May 2017.

The dissemination of product H07 SM OBS 1 "Large scale surface soil moisture by radar scatterometer" under the status "develoment" will be definitely stopped on 22nd of July 2016. H07 has been replaced by the global version H16 - see more

product H15A PR-OBS-6A "Blended SEVIRI Convection area/ LEO MW Convective Precipitation" has been declared pre-operational. The product is currently available in the precipitation section of H-SAF website and is available for downloading at H-SAF ftp server; it will be distributed via EUMETCast starting from 21st October 2015. - see more

product H04A PR-OBS-4A "Precipitation rate at ground by LEO/MW supported by GEO/IR" has been redefined as offline product instead than NRT product. Consequentely, the distribution via EUMETCast will end on 5th of November. The product will continue to be available in the precipitation section of H-SAF website and for downloading at H-SAF ftp server
